Choosing green screen for your online video profile
Since I first mastered working with video shot on green screen I've been impressed at how versatile and compelling results can be. Like the TV weather person who stands before a solid colour (usually blue in TV) and appears before a weather map to the viewer, the technique involves replacing the solid colour with virtually any other image. When you see a commercial with a spokesperson standing next to a brochure, book or product larger than they are you're almost always looking at the product of this technique. Here is a short promo demonstrating the versatility of the approach. What you don't see is how economical it is versus controlling an environment in the real world.
